Partnering with the Law Enforcement Community

Due to the sensitive nature of our service, we often work closely with law enforcement organizations to assist in drug interdiction, drug dog training, substance abuse prevention, and police dog sales. We strive to complement the efforts of law enforcement officials in all aspects of school security.

When implementing our program in schools we find that although local law enforcement drug dogs and police dogs may be available to search schools, they are often overburdened with drug interdiction in the community. Accordingly, their availability may be limited and their mission different from the objectives of school officials seeking substance abuse prevention and a drug-free campus. The issue of probable versus reasonable cause for search in the school environment can create complex legal considerations when using police canines.
